JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
We are seeking a Service Engineer with expertise in Multi Vendor (MVS) CAT II instrumentation, including chromatography systems (FPLC, HPLC, UPLC), liquid handlers, and other laboratory instruments.
The successful candidate will perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, qualification, and validation of equipment.
This role requires a focus on client satisfaction, impeccable service delivery, and effective communication with the team and customers to resolve issues efficiently.
The position is based in Pearl River, NY, and demands a proactive approach to managing service calls, parts inventories, and customer relations.
JOB REQUIRMENTS :
- Perform on-site repair, maintenance, and validation of a wide range of analytical instruments.
- Coordinate with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs and resolve issues.
- Provide training on equipment operations and safety to team members and customers.
- Utilize customer management software for tracking service calls and managing parts inventories.
- Conduct diagnostic analysis and problem-solving to ensure effective resolution of technical or application problems.
Must-Have Skills :
- Proficient in Chromatography (e.g., FPLC, HPLC, UPLC).
- Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving ability.
- Effective communication skills and proficiency in using customer management software.
Additional Details :
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Sciences, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Service Engineer, especially with analytical instrumentation.
- Must be available for overnight travel up to 10% within the territory.
- Position requires lifting, bending, and stretching in a service capacity.
