This Staff Chief position is located within the Technology Solutions Office (TSO), headed by the Chief Technology Officer, under the Department of Technology Services (DTS).

The position reports directly to the Deputy Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for managing the office's day-to-day business administration and IT program management within TSO.

Duties

The incumbent of this position will oversee the formulation and execution of the office's 36+M budget, Duties of the position include, but are not limited to :

Overseeing the formulation, preparation, presentation, and execution of TSO's budget, budget presentations, and financial plans by TSO's Budget Analyst.

Providing advice and guidance to the TSO leadership on the budget formulation and execution process.Overseeing the acquisition, execution, and management of TSO contracts by TSO's Contract Office Representative to ensure the Procurement Management Division (PMD) guidelines are properly followed and invoices are paid on time.

Ensuring effective coordination and communication between TSO, the Vendor Management Branch, and the PMD on all procurement activities, and with the Resource Management Branch and other offices across the AO on budget and financial requests.

Managing TSO's program management office (PMO) by overseeing a team of federal and contractor project managers to define and provide unified and standardized project management support across all TSO projects, and to ensure TSO adheres to the enterprise project management process as defined by the Enterprise Project Services Division.

Managing TSO's office space and carrying out other administrative responsibilities as needed by the office. Salary

$104,887 - $191,900 / year

Specialized Experience : Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position.

Specialized experience is demonstrated experience in ALL of the following :

  • Managing multi-million dollar budgets;
  • Managing procurements for software, hardware, labor, and cloud-based services and compute resources; and
  • Managing complex IT projects and programs
