The Position Proposition :
Director of Training and Work Methods directs the design, planning, and implementation, of all Primoris Power Delivery training programs aligned with the objectives and strategy of the company.
Collaborates with functional management teams to assess ongoing and future training and development needs as well as effectiveness of established programs.
Responsible for developing a program delivery schedule that provides systematic training as needed and in locations that work for participants.
Provides engaging communications about program information to encourage participation and highlight the value and benefits of training.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of U.S. Department of Labor Apprenticeship programs.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of OSHA Compliance training with regards to electric Transmission / Substation and Distribution.
- Manage and oversee all continuing skills training for all field craft employees.
- Manage and oversee implementation of all Employee development and Leadership training.
- Manage and oversee the implementation and management of Energy World Net System and / or other learning
management systems.
- Manage and oversee Training Department personnel.
- Leads the development and management of our designated training facilities.
- Develop and manage P&L budget and costs for Training department.
- Develop and write Training programs for craft and technical work groups.
- Leads and develops onboarding of new hires and skillset evaluation (classification verification)
- Collaborate across Segment and Corporate business units for best practices.
- Collaborate and work with Safety Personnel to create best practices.
- Review and approve time and expenses of subordinates.
- Schedule and assign training classes to Training Coordinators.
Educational & Minimum Requirements :
- Proven experience as a Safety Training Manager, Safety Coordinator, or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the Utilities industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and connect with various audiences.
- Proficient in utilizing training platforms and virtual training technologies.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to analyze data to drive continuous improvement.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Ability to travel to various company locations as needed.
