Staff Accountant

LHH is in pursuit of a Staff Accountant in Chicago! You must a minimum three years of accounting experience. We are considering candidates with three years of journal entries preparation, general ledger maintenance, monthly closings, and daily cash management reporting.

Details : Location : Chicago

Position Type : Temp to hire

Rate : $32-$35 / hr.

Worksite Type : Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Job Responsibilities :

General ledger account maintenance and analysis

Receive vendor invoices and ensure appropriate approval

Assist with month-end closing processes

Assist in the month end closing and financial reporting

Prepare and review month end financial statements

Maintain fixed asset system

Prepare and record monthly account reconciliations

Reconcile records of bank transactions

Perform ad hoc analyses as needed

Assist with organization of client tax information for federal and state tax compliance

Assist in the preparation of financial statements

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required

Three years of progressive general accounting experience

Nonprofit industry experience preferred

Strong analytical skills

Ability to communicate

Ability to present facts and recommendations

Demonstrated understanding of corporate accounting

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
