Job Description Summary

The SVP Business Line CFO leads the teams in support of Wintrust Financial Corporation’s Business Lines including Wintrust Mortgage, Wintrust Wealth Management, First Insurance Funding Corp (US and CAD), Wintrust Life, Leasing, middle market lending, commercial real estate lending and retail banking.

Maintains high performing, high touch finance teams functionally aligned with the business, providing support for financial planning and analysis, reporting, analytics, and strategy.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for approving forecast and budget in close connection with business line CEOs, WTFC CFO, and Corporate FP&A
  • Assesses the make-up of the support organization and look to gain efficiencies in support of common processes, such as reporting, data, systems
  • Maintains close connection to the accounting department and assists in overseeing and approving certains critical processes.

Partners with accounting policies on ensuring compliance with SOX controls and oversight of more complex accounting processes.

  • Develops and grows a high performing team and promotes mastery of the business, efficiency, best practices, and Finance department core competencies
  • Supports the relevant line of business by partnering in incentive compensation related processes, including sales commissions and operational incentive plans
  • Lead adhoc projects and reporting as required to support strategic decision making

Knowledge / Skills / Background / Experience

  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Experience managing teams across multiple department
