Inventory Accountant

Responsibilities :
We are looking for an exceptional Inventory Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will maintain the Inventory accounting, systems, and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have previous inventory accounting experience, attention to detail, and a problem solving mindset.
This position will need to collaborate with various teams across the company. + Maintain the accuracy of inventory records and ensure that all inventory reporting requirements are satisfied.
- Team up with Operations to review inventory to ensure appropriate accounting, location, reserve, and counts.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, inventory counts, etc.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Complete month end journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and analyzing variances.
- Perform standard cost review and work closely with Operations to justify standard cost changes, and provide impact analysis for review and approval.
- Partner with the Operations and Strategic Finance teams on inventory costing processes and inputs.
- Maintain Inventory data master and assist in roll-out of new inventory itemsBe a key contributory in all project related to inventory
Qualifications
- BA / BBA / BS in Accounting, Finance or business-related field, CPA a plus
- At least 2+ years experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to focus, complete tasks accurately and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
