Aerotek aviation is looking for a fabrication specialist in Charleston, SC for a contract role.
Job Description
This role involves utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English.
The Fabrication Specialist C performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks.
The majority of responsibility is for non-baseline work requiring interpretation of established processes and instructions to troubleshoot and develop solutions to complex non-standard work.
The role requires working independently with limited direction from lead and manager.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :
- Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd )
- 7+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience working with decorative finishes.
- Experience specialized in design and / or analysis of aircraft interior modifications
- Required technical skills include file, sand, paint, decorative laminate ("declam"), and cosmetic rework (ex. paint color match, surface texture match,
- 787 or composite aircraft experience

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Pay : $35.00 local / $40.00 per diem
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in North Charleston, South Carolina.
Work Environment
This role involves working in variable shifts, contractors must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
