ABOUTTHEROLE

Ourclient is seeking a Senior Accountant to work with the MultifamilyFinancial Services Team. The schedule is 40 hours per week Mondaythrough Friday 9am 6pm.

This position is responsiblefor the financial closing and reporting of multiple partnershipportfolios including the analytical review and reconciliation ofall entities in compliance with US GAAP and their Policy andProcedures for Financial Reporting.

Candidates must have strong MSExcel MS Word and accounting software skills. Candidates must alsopossess the ability to analyze complex accounting transactionsunderstand complex accounting treatment of a variety oftransactions and resolve discrepancies in the financial data aspart of the period closing process.

This position works closelywith our onsite Property Managers Regional Managers and A / PSpecialists.

WHATYOU WILL BEDOING

• Preparemonthly financial statement packages for several entities andowners with various deadlines throughout themonth.
• MonthlyQuarterly semiannual and annual reportingrequirements.
• Specificresponsibilitiesinclude :
• Analysisand interpretation of financial information compilation andreporting data for assigned portfolio of properties.

Preparescomplex account reconciliation and journal entries and performsongoing analytical review in support of the monthly closeprocess.

• Preparesmonthly analysis of account variances using trailing 12 incomestatement asbasis.
• Processbad debt writeoffs of delinquent accounts per owner guidelines anddirection.
• Creationof cash projections and calculation of monthly ownerdistributions
• Analyzefinancial data to identify trends anomalies and areas ofimprovement.
• Understandsand interprets compliance and partnership documents includingregulatory and loan agreements as well as the accounting treatmentassociated with eachdocument.
• Researchand documents conclusions on accounting issues with appropriateunderstanding of relevant GAAPpronouncements.
• Creationand submission of scheduled financial reports tolenders
• Compilebudget packages for RegionalManagers
• Compiletax packages for taxaccountants.
• Filebusiness tax licenses forproperties.
• File571L / 571R personal property returns forproperties.
• Completepropertyaudits
• Overseeand / or supervise other accountingpersonnel.
• Providesadhoc reporting asrequested.
• Performsother assignments asrequired.

WHATYOU NEED TOHAVE

• Education / Experience : Fouryear Accounting degreerequired. Knowledge of property accounting required. At least 5years of accounting work experience Property Accountingexperience isideal.
• LanguageAbility : Strong oral and writtencommunicationskills.
• ReasoningAbility : Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in writtenoral or diagram form.

Ability to solve problems using a mix ofconcrete and conceptualvariables.

ComputerSkills : Must have excellentcomputer skills including strong knowledge of Microsoft Officeespecially Excel (VLOOKUP if functions).

Minimum 2 years ofaccounting software Real Page and AvidXchange experience is aplus.

MathematicalSkills : Strong mathematicalskills required. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such asdiscounts interest bonuses proportions percentages.

Ability toapply concepts such as fractions percentages and proportions topractical situations. Basic accountingprinciples.

CertificatesLicenses Registrations : CPA orprogress toward a CPA certificationpreferred.
