Summary :
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for managing all aspects of the credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging processes for all Licensed Independent Providers (LIPs), Other Licensed and Certified Personnel (OLCP), and Other Clinical Staff (OCS) at Community Health Net.
This includes ensuring all LIPs, OLCP, and OCS are appointed and privileged in accordance with Community Health Net Standards / Policies, HRSA, and Joint Commission requirements.
The role also involves maintaining up to date data in credentialing databases and online systems, as well as ensuring timely renewal of licenses and certifications for all LIPs, OLCP, and OCS.
Additionally, the Human Resources Assistant may assist the Administration Department with Administrative Assistant duties as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintains current and accurate credentialing data for all Licensed Independent Providers (LIPs), Other Licensed and Certified Personnel (OLCP), and Other Clinical Staff (OCS) while adhering to compliance regulations.
- Completes and monitors credentialing and re-credentialing process for all LIPs, OLCP, and OCS.
- Maintain up-to-date copies of required licenses, including State licenses, DEA certifications, other certifications, contract files, and other required credentialing documents for LIPs, OLCP, and OCS.
- Tracks license and certification expirations ensuring timely renewal for LIPs, OLCP, and OCS.
- Constructs, maintains, and tracks online credentialing databases and system information for all LIPs, OLCP, and OCS.
- Processes applications for appointment and reappointment of privileges for LIPs, OLCP, and OCS to Community Health Net and hospital staff at various hospitals.
- Tracks continuing professional education benefits as per individual LIP contracts.
- Processes check requests for LIP continuing education, travel expenses, membership dues, professional publications, textbook allowances, license renewal fees, and annual hospital medical staff dues.
- Assist with maintaining and filing employee personnel and credentialing files.
- Support the Learning Management System (LMS) by tracking monthly completion of CPR, background certifications, performance evaluations, and other required training.
- Assist the Administration Department with Administration Assistant duties as needed, such as processing documents, handling inquiries, scheduling, and other clerical tasks.
- Perform other job duties as assigned by the Human Resource Generalist.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education :
Required : High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
Preferred : Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
