Travelling 50%! We are seeking a Continuous Improvement & Lean Six Sigma Specialist that will be responsible for supporting the implementation and ongoing development of Lean Six Sigma initiatives within the organization.
This role will focus on identifying process improvement opportunities, supporting project teams, and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools, with a passion for optimizing processes to achieve operational excellence.
Reports directly to the VP of Business Development for Water and National Accounts, with additional direction from National Account Managers.
This role will work closely with customers at their locations approximately 50% of the time.
As Continuous Improvement & Lean Six Sigma Specialist, you will be responsible to :
- Support Lean Six Sigma Projects : Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of Lean Six Sigma projects. Provide support to project leaders and teams, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Facilitate Continuous Improvement Initiatives : Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, streamline processes, and implement best practices.
Help to facilitate Kaizen events, workshops, and other continuous improvement activities.
Data Analysis : Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement. Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools (e.
g., DMAIC, value stream mapping, process flow analysis) to support decision-making and project success.
- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of project progress, outcomes, and key metrics. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project results and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Change Management : Support the adoption of new processes and practices by working with teams to overcome resistance, address concerns, and ensure smooth transitions.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in for continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate effectively to keep all parties informed of project status and outcomes.
- Complete Monthly Reports : Prepare and submit the monthly reports required for billing purposes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the reporting process.
- Travel : 50% travel required
Qualifications
To perform your job as expected, you will be required to have :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in process improvement, operations, or a related role in a manufacturing industry.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Proficient in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel)
- Project management experience is a plus
