Job Description

Brightspeed has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Program Manager, Engineering and Construction to join our growing team.

As Sr. Program Manager, Engineering and Construction,you will report into our Director, Engineering and Construction and will be responsible for various project management aspects associated high speed fiber and copper engineering and construction.

This includes project scheduling, budget analysis, vendor coordination and cross functional team alignment. In addition to tracking team project and goal performance and adhering to policy and build standards.

The position will be a key part of the East Engineering and Construction Regional team and supports NC, VA, PA and NJ. This position will work collectively with the cross functional teammates and external vendors to drive BAU (Business as Usual) and special project efforts.

This role requires strong business acumen, the abilities to define and implement groundbreaking ideas, to work within a fast-moving environment to rapidly deliver support and services that have a broad business impact, and desire to have an industry wide impact.

As Sr Program Manager Engineering and Construction, you will have the following responsibilities :

  • Lead project management of development and monitoring of an engineering and construction build plan for Fiber to the Home, Fiber to the Tower and Fiber to the Enterprise.
  • Direct local engineers and vendor partners in the review of mechanized engineering designs for potential redesign opportunities and needs
  • Project manage engineering design changes and keep up with all revision changes in our records for both design and schedule tracking
  • Provide process support to the network team and infrastructure services contractors supporting front line execution of an extensive fiber deployment
  • Project manage cross functional process changes to optimize fiber build efficiency
  • Drive the company culture and strategies. Creates strategies to achieve business goals such as increasing revenues, optimizing expenses, and developing a skilled, motivated, satisfied, and diverse workforce
  • Leadby example in creating an environment that encourages open communication, sharing ideas and best practices, and building strong cross-functional relationships

Detailed Responsibilities of the position :

  • Regional systems support management
  • Creating priorities and actionable items for team
  • Work on national score card analysis
  • Plan out mitigation and program recovery strategies
  • Asist in the development of processes and tools
  • Regional point person for national efforts
  • Regional point person for regional work priority analysis
  • Report creation using data and creation of power point presentations
  • We would like for the potential candidate to reside in NC, VA, PA, or NJ.

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE :

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering
  • 3 to 5 years of prior industry experience in construction, permitting and engineering
  • Prior industry experience in managing infrastructure service providers (vendors)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills - cross functional teams
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to articulate via written and through oral communication.
  • Process improvement and customer-centric mindset
  • Ability to motivate others and work under pressure
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Excel, Word, Power point, SiteTracker, BOSS, IQGEO / NDS

BONUS POINTS FOR :

  • Master's Degree in Business or Engineering
  • Telecom / Cable / Internet Service Provider industry experience
  • PMP Project Management Certification
