Candle Media is seeking a SVP, Information Technology who will be responsible for overseeing the Candle Media’s technology strategy, ensuring the seamless integration of digital platforms, and driving innovation across all aspects of the business.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the media and entertainment industry, experience in digital transformation, and a track record of leading technology teams in high-growth environments.

Some of the focus areas of this role will include :

  • Technological Vision & Strategic Alignment Lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that ensure all IT and digital systems are not only state-of-the-art but also closely aligned with C andle's overarching business objectives.
  • Digital Transformation : Lead the digital transformation initiatives across C andle, including the implementation of new technologies, platforms, and processes that enhance content creation, distribution, and monetization.
  • IT Infrastructure : Oversee the management o f Candle's IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability in a rapidly changing media environment.
  • Data Strategy : Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy, leveraging data analytics to enhance decision-making, personalize content, and improve user experiences
  • Team Leadership : Build and mentor a high-performing global technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Team Development : Provide coaching, mentorship, and growth opportunities to enhance team members' skills and careers.
  • Cybersecurity : Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place to protect company assets, intellectual property, and customer data.
  • Information Security : Establish and enforce security policies to safeguard digital assets and customer data.
  • Risk Management : Monitor IT risks and ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR and PCI-DSS .
  • Budget Management : Manage the technology budget, ensuring investments are aligned with strategic priorities and deliver maximum ROI.
  • Innovation : Drive innovation by exploring and adopting emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, blockchain, and data analytics to optimize content delivery and audience engagement.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Collaborate with other executive leaders, including content, marketing, and sales teams, to drive technology initiatives that support business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior technology leadership role, with a strong focus on entertainment, production, and content delivery.
  • Proven experience in leading digital transformation efforts within a media, entertainment, or technology company.
  • Deep understanding of media technologies, including content management systems, streaming platforms, digital rights management, and data analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and IT governance.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to think strategically while managing the details of execution.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.

Benefits

This position has an estimated base salary range between $225,000 and $300,000
