Leidos has an opening for a Senior Health Physicist in our Earth City, Missouri office. The Physicist will be responsible for assisting the St.
Louis office Program Manager and leading the planning and execution of HP related aspects of project related tasks. Primary duties may include assisting the RSO with the implementation of the Leidos radiation safety program for client sites, and technical health physics support for client contracts.
The selected candidate must possess the education and experience to accept duties as RSO.
Other duties include supporting characterization and MARSSIM Final Status Survey activities, white paper and / or document development for relevant health physics technical issues, development of site safety and health plans and radiation safety programs, internal and / or external dosimetry program implementation, dose assessment, implementation of MARSSIM methodologies for development of final status survey plans and post-remedial action reports, environmental monitoring program implementation, computer modeling (COMPLY, CAP88-PC, RESRAD, RESRAD-BUILD, MICROSHIELD, etc.
to determine source terms, dose and / or risk to modeled receptors and other health physics related issues as determined by client needs.
What Sets You Apart :
- B.S. in Health Physics (or related educational field) or comprehensive certification by the American Board of Health Physics (ABHP) with 10 years of professional-level health physics experience.
- Minimum of ten years experience applied radiation safety experience.
You Might Also Have :
- Certification by the American Board of Health Physics.
- Experience in the implementation of a comprehensive radiation safety program including but not limited to :
- internal / external monitoring program implementation, internal and external dose assessment, regulatory compliance, environmental monitoring, radiological hazard analysis, and evaluation of radiological data
- Experience implementing MARSSIM methodologies including development of final status survey plans and post remedial action reports
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain custom MS Access and MS Excel applications.
- Ability to program in VBA is highly desirable, but not required.
- Ability to manage computer data and to transfer data between different formats and platforms.
- Experience using health physics related computer software (Microshield, RESRAD, D&D, etc.).
- Master's in Health Physics or related educational field.

Pay Range : Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
