Accounts Payable Specialist
Description
The Accounts Payable Accountant Specialist is responsible for review of documents for completeness and accuracy, payment of the verified documents within prescribed time period.
Data entry into Excel. Also, an Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for proper preparation of the month and year end accruals.
- Perform accounts payable functions accurately and efficiently and ensures all related policies and procedures are followed.
- Make sure invoices have appropriate approval and / or purchase order as defined by company policy.
- Make sure invoices are paid using proper pay terms as defined by company policy..
- Responsible for the daily Accounts Payable workflow.
- Make sure invoices are entered in the system timely and available discounts are taken
- Responsible for effective communication and maintenance of vendor accounts, including research, resolution of problems, and statement reconciliation.
Demonstrates superior customer service; interacts with a positive and constructive approach
Requirements
- Understanding and complies with Accounts Payable policies and procedures.
- QuickBooks experience required.
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Can utilize and navigate Excel at an intermidiate level
- Key by touch and keyboarding skills are also required.
- High School Diploma, GED required or Business-Related Courses.
