Seeking a primary care physician (Family or Internal Medicine boarded preferred) to perform medical history and physicals, consults and follow-ups at a contracted inpatient facility in the Hollywood Park area of San Antonio, TX.
We provide care for basic medical conditions of patients in a hospital. The primary requirement is that all new patients be seen within 24 hours of admission.
Must be comfortable with managing basic medical conditions such as blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes (sliding scale already provided) and managing abnormal labs.
Length of the workday depends on the number of admissions and how quickly you work. Many of our providers get to the hospital by 7am and are done by 3pm, so long as all new admissions are seen, and consults followed up on.
Many of our providers have come from the typical hospital grind of working 12+ hour shifts followed by EMR into the night, so this could be a great transition into a better-quality work / life balance.
Limited on call expectations (never requires you to go back to the facility, we simply manage the medical complaint (i.e.
elevated blood pressure, cough) over the phone and follow up on them in the morning). Expectation to supervise and review charts of PAs and NPs.
We offer this position as either a 1099 role, or as a salaried position with competitive pay, flexible schedule and hours, PTO, malpractice coverage and 401k plan with company matching.
