A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
  • Plans and administers procedures and budgets.
  • Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct / indirect labor.
  • Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
  • Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
  • Management Skills : Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software, Effective Communication Skills.
  • Functional Skills : Machining and Manufacturing Technologies, Proficient computer skills, Data Science and Analysis, Lean Manufacturing and continued improvement, Managing Quality.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Requires 3+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

Nice to Have :

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Business Management, etc.)
  • Prior experience working in Manufacturing environment
  • Ability to manage / direct work in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience working in a medical device environment
  • Ability to understand and manage KPI's successfully
  • 3-5 years solid supervisory experience in a Manufacturing setting, medical device industry a plus
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing work environment.
  • Previous experience implementing Lean Manufacturing Projects.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to interact and interface with production personnel as well as management.
  • Strong computer software capability and experience with manufacturing management systems
  • Six-Sigma training and / or certification

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD) : $77,600.00 - $116,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.

The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification / education, market conditions, and location.

Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
