Job Description
What you will be doing :
- Oversee the integration of the newly opened Sarasota office requiring periodic travel.
- Lead employee benefits administration collaborating with brokers to propose suitable offerings and ensure effective utilization.
- Manage employee onboarding to ensure consistent messaging and orientation coordinating with the Recruiting / Retention team.
- Oversee the background check process and address any arising issues.
- Maintain effective employee relations through policies and procedures mediating disputes and performance concerns.
- Manage the payroll function of the firm supervising the payroll / benefits coordinator and acting as backup for payroll processing.
- Lead the annual salary administration process for nonattorney employees and administer the annual evaluation process.
- Participate in the planning and execution of social and teambuilding events and internal training.
Experience you will need :
- 57 years of relevant human resources experience preferably in a professional services organization.
- Bachelors degree in Business or Human Resources.
- Prior law firm experience is preferred.
- Experience with health benefits administration and familiarity with a selfinsured / stoploss captive model.
- Familiarity with HRIS software and experience assessing systems for potential changes.
- Experience working with event venues and vendors.
- Knowledge of employment laws and new trends in HR.
