DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Teach up to six semester credit hours (up to two courses) within the required discipline. Instruction may be delivered on-campus, off-campus, or online and may be during the day and / or evening as dictated by student demand and departmental needs.
• Develop and manage the class syllabus and ensure that the syllabus meets department and college standards.
• Plan and create lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments.
• Assess grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations.
• Assist / mentor students as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

• Education : MSA or MBA degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance from an AACSB accredited university or a combination of graduate degrees in accounting or finance from an AACSB accredited program.
• At least 18 hours of graduate level accounting or finance. Candidates with a specialized degree in taxation; a combination of degrees in accounting / taxation and law;

or terminal degree in accounting or finance or a closely related field may teach graduate coursework.

Experience : At least 2-years of experience working in accounting or finance for a public firm, industry, or with a governmental entity.

Demonstrated expertise in the subject area.

• Knowledge / Skills : Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to : Multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
• Licensing / Professional Certifications : One or more of the following designations : CPA, CFE, CIA, CMA, EA, or CFF.

PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE :

• Candidates who hold current relevant professional credentials.
• College or University teaching experience.
• Evidence of teaching excellence.
• Prior relevant industry experience.
• Online or hybrid teaching experience.
• Experience engaging students with synchronous and asynchronous communication in an online learning environment.
