Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one coaching and support to individuals in recovery.
- Assist clients in setting realistic and achievable recovery goals.
- Develop personalized recovery plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Facilitate group workshops and educational sessions on recovery topics.
- Encourage clients to engage in community resources and support groups.
- Act as an advocate for clients within the healthcare and social service systems.
- Monitor client progress and provide feedback to support their ongoing recovery journey.
Requirements
- Certified Recovery Coach or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months.
- Experience in substance use or mental health recovery, either personally or professionally.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of recovery-oriented practices and resources available in the community.
- Empathy and a non-judgmental attitude towards individuals in recovery.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
