Your Role at Ethico

The QA Manager works closely with the Engineering teams and Product Management team to define and build a high quality Ethics and Compliance product suite.

We seek a top performing leader with the passion, experience and gravitas to effectively create a Quality function within the organization.

The ideal candidate will be a high energy, team oriented, customer driven problem solver with prior experience in improving Quality metrics for complex, highly scalable and easy to use applications.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Be the Quality Gatekeeper for all software modules that comprise the Ethico Compliance software suite.
  • Build and manage a high performance QA team comprised of automation as well as QA engineers
  • Create an overall architecture and help build a framework for testing and verification of all parts of the Ethico Compliance software suite.
  • Help create Automation as well as Manual Test Plans for new features that are being developed.
  • Lead multiple Agile teams to high levels of performance and implement effective and efficient Quality management processes.
  • Bring an organized Quality conscious mind-set within engineering teams.
  • Help analyze the cost of Quality for important product roadmap decisions.
  • Participate in strategic planning and design sessions with product management, engineering management and architects.
  • Participate in Production troubleshooting sessions to not only identify problems but also figure out ways to improve Quality processes and test cases to avoid these issues in the future

Experience you’ll need to succeed in your role at Ethico

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
  • A hands-on capability to design automation frameworks and test plans for complex cloud products
  • A solid understanding of technologies and a proven track record of developing QA automation frameworks and tools that enable high quality backend jobs as well as UI Applications to be built and deployed in the Cloud.
  • Understand common Quality standards / processes / tools and the ability to leverage them where possible.
  • Effective at defining and driving process change to improve quality across distributed QA and Development teams
  • Effective at managing a team of QA Engineers and Automation engineers
  • Effective at reaching out in real-time to overcome roadblocks.
  • Excellent in verbal and written communication and able to convey dissenting opinions in a constructive manner, particularly written communications.
  • Will have a passion to learn the world of Ethics and Compliance Software and the requirements imposed by a Mission Critical ecosystem.
  • Deep knowledge of testing styles including BDD, TDD and others.
  • Strong leadership skills and a proven track record of building high performing teams.
  • Management style that is strongly aligned with the philosophy and culture of the company a style that encourages team involvement in decision making, accountability, and pragmatism.
  • Experience testing scalable cloud application frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies.
  • Experience using build and deployment tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Kubernetes etc.
  • Experience using QA automation tools and frameworks
  • 12+ years of experience in QA organizations
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as good interpersonal and organizational skills

LOCATION

Remote - Preference goes to candidate in Charlotte, NC.

SALARY

$130,000-$160,000
