Electrical Engineer Intern

Job Summary & Responsibilities

Looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer to support R&D engineering activity supporting Metrology products, introduction of new designs and creation of upgrades impacting both Manufacturing and Service environments.

Under Department Manager or senior engineer, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for basic to moderate electrical / electronics, electro-mechanical design, troubleshooting and maintenance of Semiconductor Metrology Tools.

In addition, the Electrical Engineer will also be responsible for supporting existing products with Sustaining Engineering Operations.

This includes but is not limited to : Component Selection, Understanding of Design Specification, Change-Order Processes, Customer Interaction, and BOM Revision / Maintenance.

Collaboration with other Engineers of mechanical, manufacturing, and software disciplines will be required.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Engineering support of products throughout the Product’s Lifecycle
• Specification of components for existing designs
• Modifications / revisions of electrical schematics and mechanical assemblies using AutoCAD, Orcad, and Visio Professional software
• Maintaining bills of materials for existing designs / projects
• Works closely with Material Procurement (Purchasing)
• Works closely with Manufacturing on design / component changes to existing products
• Works closely with Manufacturing to update test procedures due to changes in components / design
• Implementation of customer and internal change-order processes
• Troubleshoot and test new PC hardware for support and upgrades

Qualifications

Working towards Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical engineering.
