Summary

Performs regular inspections and testing in accordance with engineering drawings and standards. Facilitates quality problem solving efforts internally and with suppliers utilizing appropriate statistical tools.

Performs statistical analysis for FMEAs, QFDs, capability studies, measurement R&R studies and SPC. Facilitates revisions to the Quality System procedures, as necessary.

Essential Job Functions Include :

  • Performs dimensional inspections to engineering drawings
  • Performs function testing in accordance with standards
  • Performs warranty tear downs, analyzes findings and generates reports
  • Issues and leads resolution of DMRs
  • Analyze SPC results
  • Analyze Scrap
  • Run gage R&R studies, analyze results, and report findings
  • Identifies, leads and facilitates problem-solving efforts.
  • Drives process improvement
  • Participates with team leaders and team members in the development and execution of the Warn Automotive Quality System.
  • Assists in training and application of Quality Tools and Data Analysis.
  • Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
  • May be required to work overtime.
  • Work safely and without injury.
  • Accountable for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in assigned area. Responsible for design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, including a self-assessment and report to management.
  • Accountable for developing and monitoring processes and practices necessary for legal and ethical compliance in assigned area.
  • Performs other various duties as may be assigned.

Education and / or Experience :

  • Associates degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Two or more years experience in a manufacturing environment or a quality-related field.
  • Education and experience in basic statistical analysis preferred

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities :

  • Knowledge of metrology and GDT.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems Management.
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards.
  • Knowledge and experience in various statistical analysis techniques : Multi-vari, Hypothesis Testing, Regression, DOE, and SPC.
  • PC skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Mini Tab or similar programs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers and visitors.
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to continuously improve and learn new skills.
  • Ability to facilitate activities necessary to a projects completion.
  • Must have history of impeccable integrity, ethics and fair play.
