Key Responsibilities
- Complete molding processes, which will include Antioch plaster, Air-set sand, and cold-box sand in combination with permanent and semi-permanent molds.
- Use powered hand tools to deburr, remove excess metal, and remove dirt / sand from product.
- Polish, file, and / or sand surfaces of metal parts utilizing a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machines that will remove defects and smooth uneven surfaces.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- 1+ years of production experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Prior experience in a foundry is helpful but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Work involves physical demands, but not limited to prolonged standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- This role will require the use of respirator equipment.
- Ability to use a wide variety of tools.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening (drug and background testing.)
- Works independently, following instructions, and will need to be able to concentrate for long periods of time.
