Process Technician - Plastic Fabrication (3rd Shift) Lexington, NC
Opportunity Overview :
The Resource is seeking a Process Technician for a prominent plastic fabrication company in Lexington, NC. This permanent, direct-hire position offers a competitive pay rate and operates on a 3rd shift schedule.
As a Process Technician, you will be essential in starting up and maintaining molding machines, ensuring production efficiency, and upholding quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Start up and maintain molding machines by inputting data according to approved setup sheets.
- Submit first and last piece articles to the Quality Department for review and approval.
- Monitor and verify the accuracy of process setups throughout your shift using the Daily Verification of Setup Monitoring Sheet.
- Address quality issues promptly by stopping production or delivery when necessary.
- Ensure all machines operate at approved cycle rates and troubleshoot machine alarms to enhance production and minimize downtime.
- Set molds, assist with documentation for tracking changeover times, and check auxiliary equipment for proper functioning.
- Complete projects as assigned by the Plant Manager or Shift Supervisor, and maintain the Quality Management System.
- Adhere to safety protocols and use appropriate safety equipment. Qualifications :
- 2 years of experience with plastic molding machines and familiarity with quality control processes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to operate auxiliary equipment.
