Summary Overview
The position is responsible for being innovative and reliable, ability to work with subcontractors on behalf of PSCN, apply for building permits, read blueprints, dispose of demolition materials, and manage projects by following schedules and timelines, work at and with other campuses.
Be able to perform the following general construction skills, masonry, carpentry, framing, plumbing, drywall, painting, electrical, roofing and flooring.
Have, excellent communication skills, ability to lead projects, coach and educate team members and open to coaching. They should have exceptional handyman skills, a drive to keep up with construction trends and the latest product and technology available in construction and maintenance, should have a calm and optimistic approach to projects and problem-solving.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identifies and suggests innovative approaches and participates in implementing performance improvement opportunities. Maintains compliance with Presbyterian SeniorCare policy and procedure in accordance with governing laws, regulations, regulatory agencies, accreditation bodies and facility standards.
Demonstrate on a consistent basis individual and team behavior that supports the philosophies of PSCN. Consistently upholds the mission, values and code of ethics of PSCN.
Maintains confidentiality and be a role model to other staff.
Construction Skilled Technician Requirements :
1. At least 7 years’ experience in construction.
2. At least 5 years’ experience in campus setting.
3. Relevant license and bonds.
4. Strong handyman / building skills.
5. Ability to operate power tools and hand tools following all safety standards.
6. Ability to read architectural drawings and blueprints.
Travel Requirements
May be required to travel to different campuses.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to work independently as well as in group situations.
Driver’s License required (has car and willingness to travel)
