- Analyze the competitive landscape of higher education by identifying and implementing new strategies to address student retention, developing innovative persistence strategies, setting retention objectives, and optimizing the use of current trends for overall student success.
- Provide effective leadership by supervising, leading, and inspiring a team that collaboratively works together to support all aspects of student success and retention.
Identify opportunities for upskilling and succession leading to long-term divisional success.
Provide an innovative outlook that will address gaps in service and offers innovative ideas that are adaptable.
Essential Functions
- Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Lead and direct a comprehensive and integrated student engagement program to enhance students' sense of belonging at Camden County College.
- Provide leadership and accountability for the administration, development, assessment, and improvement of student services and student experiences that meet and support Camden County College's commitment to equity, access and inclusion.
- Collaborate in a cross-divisional and cross-institutional approach to boost campus engagement and co-curricular engagement of students.
- Serve as Chair for the College's Judicial Affairs Team.
- Refine and develop Judicial Affairs Policy commensurate with the College mission, Strategic Plan, and higher education best practice.
- Provide strategic leadership in student success and retention to enhance student success and progression.
- Foster a vibrant and inclusive student life by developing engaging programs and initiatives that promote leadership and community involvement.
- Uphold and communicate student rights and responsibilities, ensuring a fair and supportive environment for all.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve division and institutional goals.
- Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans related to student retention and engagement.
- Develop and implement student success and intervention / retention strategies to support academic success, engagement, and persistence rates.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to student rights and responsibilities (e.g. Title IX, Section 504, NJCAA, HIPAA and FERPA).
- Oversee the development and management of an annual schedule of events in collaboration with the Division Institutional Advancement.
- Work closely with the Office of Communications & Marketing to develop innovative and effective communication and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with the Institutional Research Department to implement a data reporting and analysis structure that can be used to monitor and evaluate student success and retention strategies.
- Prepare and communicate reports as needed or requested.
- Work closely with the Division of Strategic Enrollment and build strong partnerships across other college divisions and with community stakeholders to structure and execute success and retention efforts.
- Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
- Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
Minimum Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in educational administration, leadership or related field.
- Several years of progressively responsible experience in student support services or related areas, including leadership and supervisory roles.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.
- Ability to inspire and lead teams in a collaborative and inclusive manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in data analysis and utilizing metrics for decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming campus environment.
- Visionary mindset with the ability to contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans.

- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in higher education, preferred.
- Extensive budget experience, preferred.
- Experience identifying grants, grants supervision and management, preferred.
Physical Requirements :
This position is primarily office-based; occasional local travel and the ability to circulate among areas of responsibility is mandatory.
The position requires minimal lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling. The ability to communicate through hearing and speech, the ability to identify visually those entering and leaving the building, the ability to distinguish between various denominations of currency, and substantial use of the computer required.
