JOB SUMMARY :
The Quick Serve Cashier / Server is a vital member of our Quick Service Food Outlet. This role is responsible for warmly welcoming and assisting guests, taking accurate orders, and handling payments through the cash register.
Additional duties of the Quick Serve Cashier / Server involve ensuring a clean environment, monitoring alcohol intake responsibly, and supporting promotional events.
This role also involves restocking beverages and food items, maintaining condiments, and assisting with opening and closing tasks as needed.
The Quick Serve Cashier / Server’s dedication to customer service is vital and is a crucial part in making each dining experience memorable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Greet and assist guests as they arrive at the quick-service food counter.
- Take orders from guests, ensuring accuracy in their selections and any customization requests.
- Serve guests their food orders either from behind the counter or by walking their order to their table.
- Operate the cash register to process payments for orders, including counting change and handling both cash and credit card transactions.
- Accurately process any complimentary meal vouchers, coupons, and comps.
- Maintain proper accounting for all cash, credit, and comp receipts, ensuring cash register accuracy.
- Monitor alcohol intake in accordance with TIPS training to prevent overserving.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by regularly cleaning the counters and sitting areas.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Promote daily, weekly, and monthly marketing events.
- Restock beverages, including soft drinks, water, and other drink options.
- Keep pre-prepared food items well-stocked for quick service to guests.
- Ensure condiments, such as ketchup, mustard, and napkins are available and restocked as needed.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by F&B Supervisor / Executive Chef / F&B Operations Manager.
- Maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Adhere to the company appearance policy.
- Promote and maintain all steps of the ACES Customer Service program with each patron and Team Member you may encounter (see, smile, and say hello).

QUALIFICATIONS :

Minimum Qualifications :
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or equivalent and 3 months of related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The ability to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills.
- Must qualify for a license with the Maryland Sate Lottery Agency and meet any credentialing requirements of the Maryland Gaming Control Board.
- Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
- The ability to occasionally lift and / or move more than 25lbs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
While performing this job, Team members are regularly expected to engage in verbal communication and auditory perception.
Additionally, Team members will frequently need to stand, walk, and utilize their hands for activities such as handling and feeling.
On occasion, Team members may be required to sit, reach with their hands and arms, balance, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and utilize their senses of taste and smell.
Team members may also need to occasionally lift and move items exceeding 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job encompass close vision, distance vision, color perception, peripheral vision, depth recognition, and the ability to adjust focus.
