Job Summary
We are seeking a Pediatric Dietitian Specialist to join our Nutrition Team in Indianapolis, IN.
Pediatric Dietitian Specialist would be covering Pediatric Intensive Care, Burn and Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care (23 beds total) in addition to some outpatient clinic responsibility 50 / 50 split.
Schedule is Monday- Friday with holiday and weekend rotation every 7 weeks, also responsible for cross coverage in our NICU.
- We pay professional dues for our RDs including CDR fees, Academy or ASPEN annual membership and state license fees!!
- Touchpoint encourages our clinical dietitians to pursue advanced clinical certifications such as CDCES, CNSC, CSO, etc.
We offer a $2,500 one-time salary increase for successfully obtaining an advanced certification.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provides / Lead nutrition services in identified specialty area for a minimum of 70% of workload / responsibilities. Assesses the nutritional status of patients / residents through documentation in the medical record
- Trains and mentor’s patient / resident services staff and interns as applicable
- Fosters teamwork and establishes effective strategies to implement innovative programs which leads to optimal clinical nutrition and financial outcomes
- Complies with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient / resident rights policies
- Participates in patient / resident satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance / Performance Improvement programs
Qualifications :
- Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board, in states where required
- Two (2) years of experience in area of specialty required
- Specialty certification when applicable
- Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming
