Job Details
MUST HAVE a 2-year tech degree and up to 5 years of experience in tight tolerance machining OR without the degree then a minimum of 5 years of experience is needed.
Schedule : 1st shift start time between 6 and 8 am with optional overtime!
Job Summary
The inspector / CMM Programmer inspects incoming, in-process, and outgoing product, performing basic to advanced inspections of product ranging from basic to high-complexity.
Essential Functions :
Advanced ability to measure parts using basic tools such as micrometers, calipers, pins, height stands on surface plates etc.
and advanced tools such as vision systems and manual or programmable CMMs
- Ability to program and run basic to advanced CMM programs
- Utilize control plans and inspection instructions to evaluate product for conformance
- Prepare inspection reports and certification packages per customer requirements
- Document results in a clear and concise manner
- Take direction from management to facilitate product flow through the plant
- Perform basic to advanced inspection tests
- Perform basic to advanced assembly tasks
To be successful, the person will need to
- Be comfortable with triaging a heavy workload
- Be able to work efficiently and multitask
- Be able to communicate effectively with machinists and provide guidance on what direction they need to move out of tolerance conditions.
Qualifications :
- Must have a 2-year tech degree and up to 5 years of experience in tight tolerance machining OR without the degree then a minimum of 5 years of experience is needed.
- GD&T Certificate (preferred)
