Job Summary

Elev8 New Media is seeking a skilled and proactive public relations expert to drive media and PR strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients across local, national, and international markets.

In this role, you will play a key part in developing and executing PR campaigns, identifying emerging media opportunities, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders and journalists.

Your ability to stay ahead of industry trends, conduct thorough competitive research, and contribute valuable insights during client and team meetings will be essential to your success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement progressive public relations strategies for a diverse portfolio of local, national, and international clients to secure media coverage across various platforms.
• Coordinate and execute press tours, facilitating direct interactions between clients and influential media entities to enhance brand visibility and messaging.
• Monitor and analyze media coverage and social media engagement metrics, utilizing insights to refine and adjust strategies for maximum impact.
• Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies, ensuring alignment with client objectives and market opportunities.
• Collaborate with both local and national teams within Elev8 New Media, fostering a synergistic environment that leverages collective expertise and resources.
• Maintain an acute awareness of industry dynamics, media trends, and the evolving news cycle to anticipate and capitalize on media opportunities.
• Participate actively in client and team calls, providing insightful contributions and maintaining open lines of communication for optimal strategy development and implementation.
• Work closely with management on a daily basis, ensuring strategic alignment and providing updates on campaign progress and media engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, or a similar role within an agency environment. Proven track record of securing media coverage and managing successful client campaigns.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to craft compelling stories and communicate effectively with clients, media, and team members.
• Ability to develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies that align with client objectives and market opportunities.
• Proficiency in PR tools (i.e. Muck Rack, Cision).
