PROJECT CONTROLS MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY

Okland is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Controls Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project controls, including scheduling, cost management, and risk assessment.

This role is critical for ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with the highest quality standards.

The Project Control Manager will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to facilitate effective communication and decision-making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project control systems, including schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor project expenditures and cash flow, prepare cost reports, and provide analysis to ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, identifying critical paths and potential delays; update schedules as necessary.
  • Identify and analyze project risks, develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and areas of concern.
  • Manage the change control process, ensuring all changes are documented, analyzed, and communicated effectively.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
  • Utilize project control software and tools to analyze data and generate insights for decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and industry standards throughout all phases of the project.
  • Provide guidance and training to project team members on project control best practices and methodologies.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in project controls, construction management, or a related role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in project control software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar) and Excel.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and cost management principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with risk management principles and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes is a plus.
