Job Description

What you get to do in this role :

We are seeking a talented attorney with a passion for cybersecurity. The attorney in this position will play a key role in supporting the ServiceNow Security Organization, a critical team within ServiceNow.

They will be a subject matter expert on a wide range of global cybersecurity laws and industry standards, especially those that pertain to government contractors and highly regulated industries.

This attorney will establish trusted partnerships across ServiceNow and will develop and drive strategic cybersecurity compliance initiatives.

They will support internal and external cyber risk assessments and certifications, advise on external engagements, assist senior leadership in implementing new and evolving cybersecurity regulations, and guide incident response efforts.

The position will be based in one of our ServiceNow offices, or remote location in the U.S.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we need someone who :

• Current member in good standing of a U.S. state bar.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a law firm and / or in-house legal department of a technology company.
• Familiarity with global cybersecurity laws and regulations (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP, and DFARS 252.204-7012) and industry standards (e.

g., NIST CSF 2.0 and NIST 800-218).

• A pragmatic, solution-oriented team player who has a bias for action and passion for cybersecurity.
• Highly effective communicator adept at synthesizing complex information for decision makers.
• A self-starter able skilled at prioritizing competing matters in a fluctuating and sometimes ambiguous environment.

Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
