Responsibilities :
- Prepare Medicare / Medicaid / Medi-Cal cost reports and payment reconciliations for a variety of providers and programs.
- Assist with the rate-setting process for FQHCs and RHCs and over time help clients obtain final rates.
- Work collaboratively with higher level staff to help represent clients during audits, provide auditors with documentation and respond to their questions.
- Develop good working relationships with clients to maintain and provide ongoing service to them every year.
- Work with Senior Staff to help explain the results of our work to the clients, impacts of audit adjustments, and advise them on how to respond.
- Plan and manage multiple projects with the same deadlines during busy seasons.
- Peer-review cost reports prepared by fellow associates.
Qualifications :
- 3-5 year’s healthcare accounting or financial consulting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
- Medicare / Medicaid / Medi-Cal cost reporting knowledge preferred.
- Ability to identify issues regarding Medicare / Medicaid / Medi-Cal payment methods.
- Global knowledge in healthcare operations, law, regulations, and accreditation requirements preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate, as well as the ability to accomplish multiple priorities.
