Director of Customer Service Sales

Dematic is in search of a Director of Customer Service Sales in our West region. This role is a strategic-level position reporting to the VP, NA (North America) Customer Service Sales. This is a key role in sustaining competitive advantage in the marketplace and in the future growth of Dematic. The sales activity is highly technical. A strong knowledge of the material handling industry is ideal. This position will be required to work with a matrix cross functional team to deliver on company order intake targets. To be successful, the candidate must own the required responsibilities, demonstrate the use of the listed skills, and drive change in a matrix organization by collaborating and behaving according to our values of Integrity, Collaboration, Courage, and Excellence.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $75,000 - $165,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications :

  • Designs and leads sales strategy to penetrate accounts.
  • Develops annual sales and strategic business plans.
  • Manages the sales process, including revenue management, sales training, mentorship, performance measurement, and management.
  • Builds, develops, and manages lifecycle sales teams.
  • Maintains key customer relationships; develops and implements strategies for expanding the companys service offerings.
  • Drives evaluation of potential new and existing customer needs and leads the team in a proactive post-sales approach with a focus on solutions.
  • Leverages customer insights to identify business opportunities and strategies.
  • Leads and assists with complex sales presentations, proposals, and negotiations.
  • Ensures as-sold margins are maintained by collaborating with professional services.
  • Participates with regional sales teams to help win high visibility targeted opportunities.
  • Directs strategy for retention of account base and development of new accounts.
  • Develops and manages budget, KPIs, and business plans.
  • Demonstrates the ability to build credibility and confidence with a wide variety of leaders.
  • Demonstrates experience in driving initiatives, while holding teams accountable for results and ensuring continuous improvement.

  • What We Are Looking For :

  • 15+ years of B2B industry experience, with 10+ years of direct applicable experience at a management level.
  • Logistics and automation experience.
  • Must be extremely knowledgeable with the interworking of a Distribution Center.
  • Experience in the analysis of performance metrics; short- and long-term technology development planning, evaluation, testing, and selection.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels both internal and external and competence in making timely, effective, principles-based decisions.
  • Strong commercial presence and the ability to lead discussions at the executive level.
  • Exceptional track record of developing and implementing sales strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives.
  • Ability to travel up to 50 percent.
  • Experience with building a successful sales team.
  • Skilled negotiator and persuader.
  • Proven ability to overcome objections and influence outcomes.
  • Proven success affecting change in a matrix organization.
