Overview
Lead and guide the work of AOG Parts Controllers on assigned shift, providing critical aircraft parts support on 24 / 7 basis for out of service aircraft for Atlas Air and under contract, Polar Air Cargo.
As a team member, sources and buys parts against aircraft on ground, critical, and other discrete requisition types supported by the AOG desk.
Responsibilities
Lead 12-hour shifts with up to 6 assigned personnel
- Review and approve purchasing actions up to approved authority level; coordinate requests for higher-level buying approvals
- Provide real time solutions for all aircraft material requisitions including but not limited to Aircraft On Ground (AOG), line maintenance, flight spares kit (FSK) replenishment, non-routine scheduled maintenance, action plans, and other requisitions as requested
- Research inventory listings and responses to calls for parts to source effective and quality parts
- Coordinate loan requests and reports loan orders and returns
- Ensure all AOG requisitions are fulfilled within 4 hours
- Ensure all transactions in TRAX are completed for loans, borrows and other AOG functions
- Updates aircraft maintenance deferrals with accurate and updated information pertinent to the technical supply chain
- Track and plan for critical parts, including grounding items, inventory that is below allocation, and deferred maintenance requirements
- Liaises with Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and line stations to provide timely and accurate handling of parts / material requests
- Understand and enforce contractual terms in vendor agreements
- Conduct invoice reviews and securing purchasing approvals
- Review aircraft listings and general guide lines for managed aircrafts
- Support an environment that encourages communication and collaboration escalating important information or concerns on a timely basis
- Perform additional duties assigned by Manager or Director as required
Qualifications
- BS / BA or equivalent experience in a supply chain, business, or related technical area required
- 5+ years purchasing or inventory planning required including 4+ years of AOG experience within airline industry or military equivalent required.
- Airline or Military Aviation experience is a plus
Special Demands :
Must be able to work nights, weekends and off site locations on temporary or permanent basis as needs of business dictates.
Skills :
- Demonstrated leadership capability and comfort around higher level management
- Strong integrity, decision making, and problem solving skills
- Able to work in a fast pace environment
- Excellent communication skills is an a must
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise resource planning systems required; experience in TRAX preferred

Salary Range : $59,000 - $79,500
