LHH is looking for a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.
Key Responsibilities :
Process Accounts Payable and Receivable :
Review, verify, and enter invoices and payments into the accounting system.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Process and apply customer payments.
Maintain Financial Records :
Accurately enter and maintain financial data in ledgers and accounting software.
Assist in preparing and maintaining records of general ledger accounts and transactions.
Perform Bank Reconciliations :
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
Assist with Payroll :
Provide support in processing payroll and ensuring timely disbursements.
Prepare Financial Reports :
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Support Audits :
Provide documentation and assist with internal and external audits.
Handle Miscellaneous Accounting Tasks :
Prepare and file invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
Assist with budget tracking and forecasting.
Qualifications : Education :
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred).
Experience :
1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
Skills :
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications :
Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Compensation : $28-$30 / hour DOE
