The Department of Pathology seeks qualified candidates to apply for Research Technician I positions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Arizona Repository personnel by performing a variety of technical and clerical duties related to tumor banking efforts, review of patient cases, and various cancer studies.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up lab equipment and collaborate with researchers in preparing specimens by subaliquoting following Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) from supervisor.
- Participate by preparing specimen shipments while maintaining chain of custody.
- Perform biobanking duties such as receiving, labeling, storing, and shipping biospecimens in compliance with University, State, and Federal policies.
- Accurately document incoming and outgoing specimens in logbooks and electronic database of new or dispensed samples.
- Maintain detailed records of studies conducted; organize data, prepare data for computer input, input data into database, and record computer output.
- Maintain and operate laboratory and experimental equipment such as microtomes, microscopes, spectrophotometers, centrifuges, analytical balances, photometers, and spectrometers.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Prior laboratory experience.
