Job Overview
The Accounts Payable Specialist position is responsible for payment processing such as daily claims check run, monthly provider and specialty capitation payments, accounts payable invoices and customer invoices.
This position also includes payment deposits, assisting with customer service and claims department for payment queues such as voiding and reissuing outstanding checks.
Other daily clerical duties such as handling returned mail and working with provider data management to ensure that addresses are up to date before mailing any checks that have been returned due to undeliverable addresses.
Minimum Requirements :
1. High school diploma required; College level courses in Finance / Accounting desirable.
2. Experience in accounting environment including A / P and A / R.
3. Experience working in health care and / or managed care industry preferred.
