Job Description
The RM’s primary responsibility is to effectively manage complex relationships that require strong transportation and financial supply chain industry and product knowledge by building, strengthening, and expanding federal government relationships.
The RM will have active involvement with the government senior leadership for each of their assigned clients, responsible for monitoring, interpreting and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), proactively market a full range of U.
S. Bank products and services, and will have bottom-line responsibility for the profitability, retention and expansion of each account within the government portfolio.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Seven to ten years of relationship management experience
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Deep knowledge of federal government clients
- Veteran or military experience and understanding
- Transportation, fleet and government experience
- Strong sales, relationship management and business development abilities specifically with government agencies
- Extensive knowledge of CPS products and services
- Broad knowledge of bank products and services that result in successfully capitalizing on all opportunities to expand relationships and sales of bank's products
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals, groups, and vendors across the company to manage customer relationships
- Well-developed written communication and verbal presentation skills
- Financial and business acumen and experience negotiating and working with executive level leaders
- Supply chain and / or transportation background
- Understanding of government contracts and their unique nature and requirements
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools
- Analytical understanding balanced with the ability to present value to customers in an easy to understand way to innovate programs and relationships for mutual benefit
- Ability to build relationships internally and cross functionality as One U.S. Bank
