BRIEF DESCRIPTION :
The National Business Development Manager - Insurance is responsible for generating new business opportunities by developing relationships with Commercial Property Adjusters, Consultants and Brokers.
The primary responsibility of this position is to drive sales by sales activities, networking, lead generation, and participate in tradeshows and associations.
Candidates must currently reside, or be willing to relocate, to Texas.
Salary Range is $120,000 $140,000
Commission Range is $100,000 - $175,000
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development (Nationally)
- Grow and expand business relationships to drive sales
- Identify, appropriate target accounts, and sell BluSky’s services
- Work with a defined target list managed through CRM
- Maintain membership and involvement in targeted associations
- Support all BluSky Sales efforts by following up on job opportunities
- Utilize national relationships and networks to support the regional sales teams and offices in their market
- Work with regional sales team members to grow assigned national accounts
- Prepare and present sales proposals
- Meet sales activity thresholds through client and prospect meetings, events, activities, phone calls, emails, etc.
- Document and track opportunities and business development activities in our CRM program
- Achieve yearly individual sales goal
Marketing (Nationally)
- Work with leadership to plan association involvement levels and budgets
- Participate in and assist in the planning of tradeshows and other assigned events
General Responsibilities (Nationally)
- Becomes and remains proficient in our services and the associated terminology.
- Adhere to company employment standards and Best Practices
- Provides the highest level of internal and external customer service at all times.
- Contributes positively to the Blusky culture and community.
- All other duties or projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of outside sales experience calling on national insurance accounts ., commercial large-loss property adjusters, consultants, or brokers
- Must be able to attend networking functions beyond normal business hours
- Travel 50%+ of the time
- Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills
- Experience inputting and tracking sales related data into a CRM system
- Valid driver's license
- An outgoing, driven, tenacious, team-oriented attitude is a must!
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related preferred

TRAVEL :
50% travel required. Some additional out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training or meetings.
