ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acquires knowledge of production lines and product flow
- Acquires knowledge of product defects and the root cause
- Acquires knowledge of calculating pass rates
- Inspects production line and corrects if there are any defects
- Inspects and approve QC and production paperwork
- Assists with periodic physical inventory audits
- Assist with QC production trials
- Maintains QC supplies
- Maintains QC test instruments
- Trains other QC team members and operators
- Fill in for QC operators during PTO or short-staffed
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Prepares SOPs
- Reports quality issues to QC Manager
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but Associates degree and / or equivalent years of experience
- Proven track record in quality improvement
- Manufacturing experience preferred. Preferably in the paint industry
- Experience of R&D in QC or QA in paint manufacturing is preferred
- Experience in paint line or coating process in manufacturing plant such as machinery, equipment, material or construction manufacturer
- Experience with color measurement instruments
- Trainer experience a plus
- Quality control and / or quality assurance experience is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of basic math skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is a must
- Knowledge of cost accounting, invest planning and feasibility study
- Experience of wet and dry film thickness
- Experience of paint color matching
- Experience of monitors observations of the correct coding cycles
- Experience of the correct color-coding and painting
- Experience of visual inspections
- Experience of adhesion testing
