Event Specialist

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Preparing and providing services for events such as : meetings, banquets, weddings, concerts, etc.
  • Reading and preparing banquet spaces to event specifications prepared by Event Specialist
  • Setting up and tearing down tables, chairs, linens, flatware, glassware, dinner and drink buffets.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner
  • Collaborating with culinary team and other staff to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Maintain high level professionalism and customer service by anticipating guests' needs and responding promptly to requests.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
  • Consistently adhere to dress code
  • Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe working area
  • Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership
  • Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook

Qualifications & Training

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Required : 3 years' experience in related field (1 year being work experience at SBR.)
  • Required : Ability to stand for long times and lift / carry items such as linens, trash, and plates.
  • Ability to show up on time and work entire shift.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination
  • Be or become a registered member of Scouting America

  • Provide excellent customer service to our guests, creating repeat customers
  • Adhere to the high customer service standards set forth by SBR daily.

Physical Requirements

  • Up to 14 hours a day of either standing, walking, hiking, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Can pass the physical exam and approved for SBR height and weight requirements
