HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER - AUTOMOTIVE MANUFACTURER
An automotive parts manufacturer on the south side of San Antonio, TX is looking for a Spanish / English Bilingual HR Manager to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have prior HR experience in a manufacturing / automotive setting, and relevant management experience.
This is a full-time, and direct hire position with a provided benefits package.
HR Manager Responsibilities :
- Process new hire paperwork including background checks, E-Verify, references, etc.
- Understand FMLA, ADA, and ADEA and work closely with the HR team to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, and safety programs
- Work with external suppliers for employee services as needed
- Oversee management training sessions covering various topics including hiring, safety, terminations, performance reviews, and sexual harassment
- Maintain employee files to ensure accuracy and organize efficiently
- Provides advice to management on the appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
- Manage and supervise the implementation of human resource programs
- Support with new hire orientation and onboarding process
- Other duties as assigned
HR Manager Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree or Master's degree in HR or a related field
- Ideally hold an HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRMSCP)
- Bilingual English and Spanish is required
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR management position
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ideally strong skills with Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, etc.)
- Experience in Environmental ISO 14001 preferred
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- Leadership / management experience
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts / equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel,
crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
