Head of US Business Development

Location : New York (Hybrid)

In this position, you'll be based in the New York office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week.

The Head of Business Development (Sales) operates within this division at a regional level and collaborates at a global Georgeson level when appropriate.

Georgeson is a division within Computershare Issuer Services and is a global market leader in providing clients proxy solicitation and consulting services.

A role you will love

As the Head of Business Development (Sales) you would be directly responsible for increasing revenue for the business through prospecting, pipelining, and bringing new clients to close;

as well as working with existing Georgeson / CPU clients to identify growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategy to identify, close, and increase revenue in the primary channels.
  • Represent Georgeson and / or activate other team members to pitch services and close new business.
  • Develop relationships with Georgeson account executives and the leadership team, CPU RMs and Advisory community (Lawyers, PR firms, Compensation consultants, etc.).
  • Engage and manage the relationship with senior sales executives at Computershare and facilitate appropriate engagement with Georgeson where needed.
  • Lead education program for RM's, including developing sales materials, educational resources, and any necessary collateral to incorporate Georgeson services into competitive RFP's.
  • Represent Georgeson at external industry events.
  • Responsible for developing strategy for marketing, including how to deploy methods for generating new leads via underdeveloped channels (i.

e. social media, publications, event sponsorship).

What will you bring to the role?

To be successful as the Head of US Business Development you will be an outgoing, and experienced salesperson who is passionate about nurturing client relationships and driving revenue through prospecting new business relationships.

  • Degree educated with extensive experience of sales or business development within a financial or professional services environment.
  • Strong sales, business development, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record identifying leads, closing, and increasing revenue for the business.
  • An interest in or deep understanding of Georgeson and CPU services and capabilities.
  • Have a proven track record of a sales leadership role increasing revenue for the business.
  • Ability and desire to travel for client meetings, and industry events.

Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $175,000 - $200,000. In addition to a competitive base salary, this role is also eligible for bonus.

This range reflects our good faith effort to pay fairly based on our job evaluation of this role and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and other job-related factors.
