POSITION SUMMARY
This position will primarily support 1st shift operations but may need to support other shifts as needed. Responsible for preparing, documenting, and processing customer orders / parts entering and exiting facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform tasks in connection with shipping goods and receiving incoming shipments.
- Verify orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against provided documentation (bills of lading, invoices, manifests,
- Ensure shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles
- Inspect received goods for basic description, dimensions, and damage.
- Ensure received goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within BOYD
- Prepare and maintain records of product shipped and received
- Training of new and existing employees in policies, processes, and procedures of the Shipping and Receiving areas
- Use all safety devices / tools to ensure safe operation including but not limited to pallet jacks and fork truck
- Ensure work area is kept clean and organized at all times
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- 3-5 years experience working in Shipping / Receiving areas preferred
- Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Ability to maintain PM logs and records preferred
- Forklift / PIT experience or certifications preferred
- Ability to be cross-trained throughout manufacturing facility
- Ability to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or technical school diploma preferred
- Due to federal contract obligations, must be a USA citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
- Must be willing to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) and weekends when needed
