Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will primarily support 1st shift operations but may need to support other shifts as needed. Responsible for preparing, documenting, and processing customer orders / parts entering and exiting facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform tasks in connection with shipping goods and receiving incoming shipments.
• Verify orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against provided documentation (bills of lading, invoices, manifests,
• Ensure shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles
• Inspect received goods for basic description, dimensions, and damage.
• Ensure received goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within BOYD
• Prepare and maintain records of product shipped and received
• Training of new and existing employees in policies, processes, and procedures of the Shipping and Receiving areas
• Use all safety devices / tools to ensure safe operation including but not limited to pallet jacks and fork truck
• Ensure work area is kept clean and organized at all times
• Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• 3-5 years experience working in Shipping / Receiving areas preferred
• Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Ability to maintain PM logs and records preferred
• Forklift / PIT experience or certifications preferred
• Ability to be cross-trained throughout manufacturing facility
• Ability to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or technical school diploma preferred
• Due to federal contract obligations, must be a USA citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
• Must be willing to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) and weekends when needed
