LHH is working with a rapidly growing Biotechnology company who is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join the team on a 6-month contract basis.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 plus years of experience in accounts payable and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing and reconciling invoices, maintaining accurate records, and providing support to the accounting department as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
Process and reconcile invoices in a timely and accurate manner
Responsible for full cycle A / P experience through month-end close
Prepare and process payments to vendors and suppliers
Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all payments are up-to-date
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status
Manage monthly reporting of company credit cards, expense reporting, and payment
Assist with month-end closing activities as needed
Assist with annual financials and tax audits
Provide general support to the accounting department as needed
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Three plus years of experience in accounts payable
Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with Netsuite is a plus
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working in a similar industry
