California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in the Department of Nutrition and Food Science.
The successful candidate will contribute to an integrative experiential learning education that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
Minimum requirements include :
- One of the two requirements :
- an earned Doctorate (Ph.D., DrPH, ScD., Ed.D.) in Nutrition Education, Nutrition, Sustainable Food Systems, Food Studies, or similar field
- an earned Doctorate in Public Health, Public Policy, Intercultural Education, Ethnic Studies, or related fields combined with a degree in Nutrition or a Nutrition-related field.
- Proof of degree completion by the start date of the position is required.
- Evidence of ability to bring Ethnic Studies perspectives to the study of Nutrition.
- A commitment to student success through teaching, scholarship, or service.
Preferred / Desired Qualifications :
- Expertise in the intersections of race, social justice, cultural studies, and diversity-equity-inclusion (DEI) as they relate to food, nutrition, health and wellbeing.
- University-level teaching experience
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence
- Experience supervising undergraduate and graduate students on scholarly, creative and research activities

Salary Range for Academic Year, nine-month appointment : $84,000-$89,800.
