Our Client in Denver is currently seeking Field Engineers and Project Engineers to join their team.Project Engineer : The Project Engineer is responsible for several functions throughout the duration of assigned projects including planning, buyout, management and closeout.
This role actively assists the project team in monitoring project status and identifying issues that may impact the project schedule and / or budget.
- The Project Engineer typically reports to the Project Manager. Organize, review, update, maintain and post construction documents and drawingsCollaborate with project team to complete requests for information (RFI)Review submittals and other project documents for accuracy against plans and specificationsAssist in preparing inspections, compliance audits and the non-conformance logMonitor material and equipment delivery statusMaintain and distribute accurate project logs (, subcontractor material status reports, submittals, RFIs)Understand scopes of work to be included in subcontracts and / or purchase order agreementsTrack subcontractor requests for change;
- solicit pricing and draft change orders within delegated authorityUnderstand and assist with project schedule managementAttend regular project meetings;
record and distribute meeting minutesObtain closeout information; gather punch list items; prepare as-built drawings; assist with warranty processPerform other duties as assigned Field Engineer : The Field Engineer assists with the supervision of the field work performed on the assigned projectsObserve safety procedures and bring any deficiencies to the attention of the Project Superintendent.
Review purchase orders and subcontracts to understand and administer the scope.Review RFIs and coordinate execution of responses in the field.
Assist in maintaining a daily report of field activities, manpower, delay items, field direction, etc.Assist in preparing inspections, compliance audits and the non-conformance logUnderstand and assist with project schedule managementKeep the Project Superintendent informed of any conditions that affect the scheduled delivery dates for materials.
Assist in the coordination of the work of the subcontractors' field forces, and report to the Project Superintendent any lack of performance or cooperation.
Assist in monitoring the field performance for all aspects of the project, including subcontractors, employees, consultants, schedules, quality, and costs.

Education : Industry related college degree is required.Experience : Previous construction internship experience is preferred.
Skills : Good engineering and construction management skills are important. Individual must have good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the owner, architect, and The Weitz Company project team.
A high level of integrity is required. Good time management and project organization skills are essential. Microsoft Office proficiency is important.
Systems : Must be proficient in basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Work, PowerPoint, Excel), and must be able to learn project management software (JDE, Procore, Asta, Bluebeam, etc.).
