The Impact You Will Make
The Payroll & HRIS Manager is responsible for the overall supervision, performance, and accomplishments of the HRIS System and Payroll Department.
In this role, you will perform the day-to-day administrative and leadership duties for the Payroll Department and offering support to team of Payroll Specialists daily.
This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our HR technologies as we continue to grow and integrate new teams and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Payroll
Manages the Payroll Department : conducts weekly one on one's with each team member : participates in performance reviews, talent mapping and merit increase process for the team;
and hires and trains Payroll Specialists as needed.
- Processes payroll for nearly 3,000 employees on a bi-weekly basis : constructs payroll import sheets for monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc bonus incentives;
- monitors and resolves payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues according to department service level agreements;
and reports final payroll amount to Executives.
- Processes checks and direct deposit advices, assists with garnishments and initiates local tax accounts.
- Manages pay card inventory and process.
- Runs GL and Wage reports.
- Serves as the main contact for auditing purposes and conducts weekly payroll audits.
- Creates and manages internal handbook and SOPs on payroll guidelines and processes.
- Coordinates department projects.
HRIS
- Confirms accuracy and integrity of all data entered, maintains data in HRIS systems and databases and assures information is available on a timely basis.
- Assists with projects such as data and workflow management, performance and compensation administration, learning management delivery, and training, and act as a liaison between Information Technology, Finance, and all Human Resource functions (recruiting, people development, people operations, and total rewards.
- Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.
- Acts as the lead on any HRIS migrations or enhancements as needed by the organization.
- Develop, process and maintain periodic reports of employee record data.
- Engage in audits as needed and required.
Requirements
- High School equivalency required with 5+ years' experience in a Payroll Department with leadership and / or supervisory experience.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, IT, Business, or related field is preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in HRIS management, preferably with experience in Paylocity or similar HRIS / ATS platforms.
- Ability to effectively supervise others, including hiring, training, assigning work, managing performance, counseling, and disciplining.
- Demonstrate ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion and good judgment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential; advanced knowledge of Excel is a must.

Work Environment :
